Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A woman trying to cross a Tampa street died Saturday when she walked into the path of an oncoming car, police said. Betty Ann River, 38, died at a hospital after the collision at about 9:50 p.m. on North 56th Street north of Society Park Boulevard, according to a news release from Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the car does not face any charges.
