Inverness, Fla. (970 WFLA)-The Citrus County Sheriff's Office continues the search for missing 72 year old Carol McHugh from Inverness. She has been missing since June 8th.
Search teams have focused on rough terrain, densely wooded areas, as well as narrow canals that wind through the area of Seven Lakes. Aviation, ATVs, boats and bloodhounds were all utilized in Monday's search. Since Thursday night, multiple agencies have aided in the search for Carol. More than 2,500 man hours have been dedicated to finding Carol safe.
According to the Alzheimer's Association, 94% of people who wander are found within 1.5 miles of where they disappeared. The Sheriff's Office has concentrated on this area every day and expanded the search to surrounding neighborhoods and outlying areas.
