Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA)- With Fathers Day fast approaching, one Clearwater dad may not make the "best dad" list, after he allegedly used his 13-year-old son to try to steal 800-dollars worth of electrical wire from a Lowes store.
Clearwater Police say 38 year old Travis King put the wire in the shopping cart and made his son roll past cash registers and into the parking lot. When the teenager was detained by a security officer, they say King jumped into his vehicle left. The father eventually came back, and is now charged with grand theft.
