Two Shot Dead in St Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (970 WFLA) -- Police are looking for a possible getaway car, after finding a man and a woman shot and mortally wounded, as they sat in their parked SUV outside a house early this morning.

Spokesman Rick Shaw tells us they arrived in the 6400 block of 22nd Street South around 1:45 a.m., to find the pair shot inside a Toyota RAV4. The man, who was the passenger, died at the scene. The woman, who was driving, died at Bayfront hospital.

Shaw says witnesses saw a dark-colored Toyota Camry pulling away shortly after the shooting. They're asking anyone with information to contact police. Police don't believe this was a random attack.

The victims have been identified as 48 year-old Jacqueline Green of St. Pete and 45 year-old Ashland Cleve Jarrett of Bradenton
