St. Petersburg, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-All that good rain we got this week was great for the lawns, but not so good for the water at some area beaches.
Storm water runoff has high levels of fecal bacteria in the water at two St. Pete beaches. You are being advised not to swim at Maximo Beach and at Lassing Park. Northshore Beach had been closed, but has been reopened.
There are also bad water advisories up for Tampa's Ben T. Davis and Davis Islands beaches.
The water at the beaches will be tested again to see if bacteria levels have dropped enough to make swimming safe.
