Pinellas County, Fla. (970 WFLA)-The Florida Highway Patrol says a 62 year old man on a bicycle was hit and killed this morning by a motorist who didn't bother to stop.
The hit and run vehicle was heading west on Ulmerton Road. The bicyclist was also traveling west on Ulmerton Road, in the bike lane, east of 58th street north.
According to the FHP the unknown vehicle collided with the bicycle and didn't stop. The bicycle rider fell in the roadway and was hit again by another vehicle, the victim was pronounced dead at he scene. His name being withheld until his family can be notified.

Clearwater police, meantime, are looking for the driver of a dark-colored pickup truck. They say it struck a cyclist on Cleveland Street near Fredrica Avenue around 9:45 last night. The bike rider, Joseph Sampson, 34, of Dunedin, is in critical condition at Bayfront hospital in St. Petersburg.
