Hillsborough County's Emergency Policy Group has decided to extend the county's outdoor burn ban for at least another week.
But now, fireworks has been removed from the ban.
During the policy group meeting, which involves local leaders from around Hillsborough, a representative from Galaxy Fireworks said the ban has hurt sales...not a good time, since the July 4th holiday is just over a month away.
So, the board reluctantly decided to allow fireworks.
Hillsborough Fire-Rescue says conditions are still dry and conducive for wildfires in spite of recent rainfall.
