Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A wrong-way drunk driver does no harm, Tampa Police say, because they stopped her before she hit anyone. An officer driving west on the Courtney Campbell Causeway near Ben T. Davis Beach at about 1:50 a.m. Monday spotted an SUV also going west, but in the eastbound lanes.
Officers pulled over the SUV and "detected cues of impairment" in the driver, according to a TPD news release. They arrested Theresa Hanchett, 32, on a DUI charge.
