Seminole, Fla. (970 WFLA)-An 8 month old baby found suffering from several broken bones in its leg, is recovering, the alleged abuser, a care giver who says it was an accident, but didn't take the baby to the hospital because there was an active warrant out for his arrest.
The babies mother discovered the injuries a day after the abuse occurred and took the child to the hospital .
Pinellas Sheriff Detectives have charged 32 year old Gary Gibeault with aggravated child abuse. He admitted he caused the babies injuries, but claimed it was an accident. Gibeault said he didn't report the injuries because there was an arrest warrant out for him for violation of probation, possession of cocaine charges. Gibeault is now back at the Pinellas County Jail.
