Largo, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Pinellas County deputies are investigating a murder after finding 47 year-old Rickey Lee Garland shot in the parking lot of the Andrea Cove Motel.
Deputies say Garland lived at the motel on 106th Avenue, North, in unincorporated Largo. The man's neighbors called deputies after hearing shots fired.
Deputies say Garland was still alive when they arrived on scene. Garland was then transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Witnesses report seeing an unknown vehicle leaving the scene after the shooting.
