Temple Terrace, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Mayor Kim Leinbach has turned in his resignation. Leinbach cites family health issues and the opportunity to "serve once again," for his decision to step down.
Leinbach says his desire to serve has led him to accept the job as Interim City Manager in Plant City. Leinbach served as Temple Terrace City Manager from January of 1999 through April of 2013.
Leinbach has worked for more than 30 years in government public service. He was elected Mayor in November of 2016.
Vice Mayor Robert Boss will serve as interim mayor until a special election to seat a new mayor.
