Hillsborough County deputies have cracked down on the local pot business--both synthetic "spice" and grow houses.
Sheriff David Gee says nearly 500 marijuana plants have been seized from six grow houses in the Town N Country area. Gee says groups out of south Florida have been setting up shop in rental houses.
Meantime, deputies have rounded up 150 pounds of the fake pot "spice" and search warrants were served on several convenience stores selling the stuff. A total of 50 people have been arrested in both cases.
