New Port Richey, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Christopher Try, one of two, persons of interest, believed to be involved in the head on crash that injured 14 year old bicyclist John Walsh has been booked in the Pasco Jail overnight.
Try was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash w/ injury & reckless driving. His bond has been set at $10.500. The second person of interest, Kevin Wilson remains at large.
Pasco County Mosquito Control workers are getting credit for locating the Ford Expedition involved the hit and run crash, that left the Holiday teenager with road rash,along with numerous bumps and bruises.
The SUV was found in a heavily wooded area near U.S. Highway 19, along a private drive behind a Hyundai dealership. The workers called the Florida Highway Patrol who recovered the vehicle. The SUV is now being processed for forensic evidence.
