Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-One person is dead after a fire swept through a single story wood frame residence last night in the 4000 block of North 41st Street.
Firefighters arrived just before ten, to heavy smoke and flames coming through the center of the house, which contained three separate apartments.
Firefighters quickly accounted for the two end unit tenants, and found 60 year old Timothy Williams inside the center apartment suffering from fire related injuries, he later died at Tampa General Hospital. No one else was injured.
The Red Cross is helping the remaining four adult tenants with food and temporary shelter.
Firefighters had the fire out in less than 30 minutes, investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
