Road Rage Crash Suspect Arrested

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - An Apollo Beach man faces several charges after his arrest related to a road-rage incident in Tampa Friday. Florida Highway patrol says that it arrested Eric Joseph Starowicz, 26, at his home Sunday morning.

Troopers say that at around noon Friday Starowicz drove his Jeep around a white van on the I-4 entrance ramp and stopped suddenly. The van driven by James Robinson, 34, of Tampa rear-ended the Jeep. Starowicz got out, smashed Robinson's window and threatened to kill him, troopers say, then drove away.

Another driver captured some of the exchange with a cell phone, and FHP shared the video on Twitter.

They made the arrest at about 8:45 a.m. Sunday at Starowicz's home on Old Benton Drive. Charges he faces include burglary of a conveyance, driving while license suspended, and leaving the scene of a crash.
