A $5,000 reward is being offered for information in the murder of a homeless man in Lakeland.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says the body of 29-year-old Preston Burnett was discovered in the old, abandoned Skyview Golf Course off of Skyview Boulevard.
Judd says Burnett was last seen at an ex-girlfriend's house in Auburndale Tuesday morning.
Judd says Burnett told his ex-girlfriend that he had gotten into a fight with two people and feared they would find him at her house, so he took off.
