Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-On Sunday May 7th, just before 7 pm, police say a black male went to the office of The Mayflower Motel to ask if they were any rooms available. The clerk said no , that's when the suspect pulled out a butcher knife and told the clerk to hand over any cash.
After getting the money , police say the suspect ran off towards the Oaks at Riverview Apartment Complex at 202 Broad Street East.
The suspect is black, , bald and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and long dark shorts.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect involved in this case. Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
