Safety Harbor, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A man accused of sexually abusing a 14 year old girl is now in jail.
Detectives from the Pinellas Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children's Unit, say the girl was over at a friends house, when she fell asleep in a chair and woke up to find 20 year old Eric Clark of Safety Harbor, touching her inappropriately. She tried to fight him off, but was unsuccessful.
According to the sheriff's report, the victim and Clark knew each other. Detectives questioned Clark, and that's when he admitted he abused the girl.
Clark is charged with one count of sexual battery on a minor, he's now in the Pinellas County Jail awaiting trial, he's held on a $100,000 bond.
