Brandon, Fla.(970 WFLA)- -An early morning fire caused extensive damage to 8 condominium units in Brandon.
When Hillsborough County Fire and Rescue arrived, just after 2 am, heavy smoke and fire was coming through the roof of the two story condo building at The Hampton's Condominium Complex in the 500 block of Golden Raintree Place.
Firefighters evacuated the building, and started their fire attack. A second alarm was quickly called due to the heavy fire and smoke. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
No word on the number of residents displaced by the fire, no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
