New Port Richey, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A Pasco County man is in jail, charged with assaulting a deputy.
When Deputy Matt Rosembloom arrived at what he thought was an accident on Handcart Road, 41 yr old Joseph Pemberton backed his pick-up truck into the deputies' cruiser.
Pemberton got out of his truck in his underwear, yelling and pointing at the sky. That got him tased.
Jose Martinez, a former cop in Puerto Rico, stopped to help the deputy subdue Pemberton. As he lay on the ground, Pemberton said he had experienced a “revelation.”
Pemberton has been charged with assault on an officer and child neglect.
