Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Tampa International Airport is hosting its seventh concessions job fair, today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board Room.
Airport concessionaires are looking to fill more than 250 positions for shops and restaurants throughout the airport, including for both existing concessions and upcoming openings.
More hiring opportunities are coming, as additional concessions open throughout this year.
Participants in this month’s job fair include the companies representing Burger 21, Starbucks, Cigar City Taproom, Four Green Fields, The Body Shop, Spanx, News Channel 8, Shades of Time, Dylan’s Candy Bar and more.
These hourly positions include servers, bartenders, baristas, cashiers, stockers, prep cooks, line cooks and sales associates.
The openings come as part of the airport’s comprehensive concessions overhaul that will bring 69 new shops, restaurants and services to TPA with an exciting new mix of flavors, designs and business owners.
More than 40 percent of the new food and beverage concepts are dedicated to local brands, including such favorites as Columbia Restaurant, Four Green Fields and Buddy Brew Coffee.
All of the new concessions are expected to be open by the end of this year, and more than a third are already open and operating.
