Palm, Harbor, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A Clearwater woman is facing child neglect and drug possession charges after deputies found her passed out in her car with a three year old child, screaming in the front seat.
The Sheriff's report says, it was around 12:15 pm, when they were called to a business along Highway 19 North, in Palm Harbor to investigate reports of a person down.
When deputies arrived, they found 36 year old Tiffany Brown in the back seat, unable to respond to deputies questions, even the paramedics had trouble waking Brown up. The distraught child was sitting in the front seat wearing a seat belt. The door on the child's side left wide open.
According to the sheriff's report , the child is known to Brown, but information that would identify the boy has been withheld.
Inside the car, Pinellas Deputies found a baggie of pills, easily within the reach of the toddler. Brown told deputies the Amphetamine-Alprazolam pills did not belong to her, but she had taken Methadone.
Brown is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of child neglect.
She was taken to the Pinellas County Jail, the child is in good condition and under the care of a family member.
