Gibsonston Fla. (970 WFLA )- A Monday morning fire destroys a Gibsonton mobile home
At approximately 8:20 AM Hillsborough Fire Rescue received a call of a mobile home fire in the 9920 block of Alavista Dr. in Gibsonton.
First arriving Firefighters reported a mobile home with heavy fire and smoke through the roof. On scene Command determined that due to the age of the home and the Fire load that Firefighters would take a defensive attack from outside the home.
Firefighters encountered several hazards on scene including live power lines on the ground that prevented firefighters from performing a fire attack on one side of the home. TECO was called to the scene to mitigate the power lines.
It took Firefighters about 2 hours to get the fire under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.
