Sarasota, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are attempting to identify an armed robbery suspect who showed a firearm and demanded cash at the Circle K/Shell station, 1801 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, at around 3 a.m. on May 1.
The suspect wore a black mask with a black handgun at his waist. He demanded money and threatened to do harm if the demand was not met.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’5” tall, heavy build, approximately 30-40 years of age, last seen wearing light colored pants, light colored shoes and a dark colored shirt.
The employee, who was not injured, gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash.
