Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A woman crashed a Jeep into a home and ran from the scene, Clearwater Police say that it happened on 1333 Mary L Road shortly after noon Saturday. The 1998 Jeep careened out of control and into the property of Christopher Bennett, 55, who had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
The car struck a parked Ford van and then the southwest corner of the house. Two people got out of the Jeep and ran away and remain at large. Bennett went to Mease Dunedin Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Jeep was reported stolen after the incident. The fire department's Technical Rescue Team responded after the accident to shore up the structure. Photos are available on the Facebook page of the fire department.
