St Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA)--46 Year-Old Willie Daniel of Tampa was driving a truck southbound on I-75 Saturday morning around 6:30 with a boat trailer in tow when he noticed an issue with the vehicle. He pulled over to the shoulder and got out of his truck to inspect what was going on.
At the time Stace Sanders was also headed south when she collided with the boat trailer and Mr Daniel. The impact sent the boat off the trailer and it burst into flames. Sander's vehicle then spun across the interstate and was hit by a semi. The fire from the boat then spread to Daniel's vehicle. The crash and fire closed portions of southbound 75 for an extended period.
Both Mr Daniel and Ms Sanders are in serious condition.
