UPDATE: One Child Dead, Four Others Hit in DUI

UPDATE Noon The Polk Sheriff's Office says 13 year old Jahiem Robertson has been pronounced dead. 

11 a.m.: Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says one of the children is not expected to survive his injuries. He and another 13 year old are at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando. Poinciana, Fla. (970 WFLA)- The Polk County Sheriff  has a drunk driver in custody who allegedly  hit five  children after they had just gotten off their school bus. 

Sheriff Grady Judd tells Newsradio 970 WFLA, after hitting the five kids, the driver identified as 48 year old John  Camfield of Davenpoint ran into another car before he was arrested by an off duty Polk Deputy.    

Two children  are critically injured.  The kids were hit on Allegheny Road near Athabasca in Poinciana.

The children who were struck attend Dundee Ridge Middle Academy in Poinciana. They are between the ages of 12 and 15 years old.

Camfield is charged with 2 counts DUI with serious bodily injury, 2 counts leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, 2 counts leaving the scene of a crash with bodily injury, 3 counts DUI with injury and property damage, and reckless driving.
