Wimauma, Fla. (970 WFLA)- - Overnight Residential Structure Fire sends 1 to the hospital
At approximately 1 am Hillsborough County Fire 911 received a call of a residential structure fire in the 14200 block of Edinburgh Moore Dr. When Firefighters first arrived they reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the roof of the 2 story home.
Due to the amount of fire Command called for a defensive attack and 2 aerial trucks were set up outside the home to attack the fire. It took about 30 minutes to get the fire under control, and Firefighters remain on scene performing overhaul.
There was one person transported from the scene with minor injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
