Sarasota, Fla. (970 WFLA)-The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a Sarasota woman for Maintaining a Nuisance Dwelling after deputies responded to a series of overdoses at her home on Lockwood Ridge Road.
Since August 2016, the sheriff's office responded to the home in the 4000 block of S. Lockwood Ridge Road 33 times for several reasons including drug arrests, wanted persons, and disputes.
Since that time, deputies have also been dispatched to the home of 37 year old Danielle Baggett, for seven separate heroin or fentanyl overdoses. In the month of March, three of the overdoses occurred over three consecutive days.
While interviewing residents, several described the home as a "drug flop house", where Baggett allowed people to stay in exchange for drugs.
On April 10th, detectives arrested Baggett and charged her with a single count of Maintaining a Nuisance Dwelling, a felony charge that carries a $1,500 bond. Baggett was released the next day.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
