Polk Utilities Worker Arrested

Lakeland, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-A strange twist of events leads to the arrest of a Polk County Utilities Division employee.  Twenty three year-old James Taylor is charged with one count of possession of meth and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies say Taylor was on a job in Lakeland when he began to have seizures.  Another worker called 911 and Taylor was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Taylor's supervisor went in Taylor's work truck to get his personal possessions to take to the hospital. While gathering those items, the supervisor found a bag with crystal white powder in Taylor's cigarette pack. That later tested positive for methamphetamine.

The supervisor also found a pipe and a bag with a green leafy substance inside Taylor's lunch box. Taylor later admitted to deputies that he had a problem with meth and K-2.
