Suspects Follow Man From A Bank And Rob Him

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A Tampa man who had just withdrawn a large amount of cash from the bank was robbed as he was about to walk inside a Publix store on West Hillsborough Avenue. 

Hillsborough Sheriff Detectives say two suspects watched and followed the victim as he left the bank and drove to Publix.  

One suspect,walked up behind the victim, and began grabbing at his back pocket. Both men fell to the ground.  The suspect then took an envelope containing the cash out of the victims pocket.  

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20' 5'9", thin build, with dreads.  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an orange logo on the back.  He jumped inside a black Volkswagon CC. The driver of the getaway car is a black male.   

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of these suspects and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS,(8477).
