Polk Teen Arrested For Social Media Threats


Lakeland, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Polk County deputies have arrested a Polk State College student for making online threats.  

Investigators say 19 year-old Scarlett R. "Dakota" Tuck of Winter Haven posted the threatening messages on her Facebook account. They say the threats were directed at the college, faculty, staff and students at Polk State.

One of the threats posted said "If I don't pass math I'm gonna shoot the school up." Another post said "I failed my math test so don't come to school tomorrow."

Tuck is charged under Florida State Statute 836.10, written threat to kill or injure.
