Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA)-The charge is child neglect, but that doesn't begin to describe the charges Clearwater Police brought against 24 year old Katrina Kegelman.
Police say she gave birth to a baby boy, right after using crack cocaine at a home on Cleveland Street, then tried to hide the infant in the back yard.
Kegelman at first, wouldn't tell police where the baby was, because she was afraid of getting arrested for drug use. The child survived and is getting treatment at Morton Plant Hospital.
Kegelman has since bonded out of jail.
