Suspect Dares Polk Deputies To Find Him

LAKELAND, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A convict wished Polk County deputies luck in finding him.

They didn't need it.

Ricky Ratton, 36,  was caught by sheriff's deputies three days after he failed to show up for his court appearance after his conviction for armed battery with a deadly weapon.

When a warrant was issued for Ratton's arrest, the felon posted on Facebook daring deputies to catch him, and said he didn't want to go back to prison.

He was pulled over in an SUV Tuesday night, and took off on foot.  Deputies dispatched K9 units to help catch him.

After he was treated for dog bite wounds, Ratton was booked into the Polk County Jail.
