Cape Canaveral, Fla. (970 WFLA)-SpaceX hopes to make history this evening when it attempts to launch a used rocket for the first time.
The company owned by Elon Musk will be using a Falcon 9 rocket to put a communications satellite into orbit. The first-stage rocket booster was used before in a launch last April. The CEO of SpaceX says reusing a rocket booster could give its customers about a 30-percent discount on a Falcon 9 launch. The lift off is scheduled for six tonight from Cape Canaveral.
