Embattled Trump Gets Florida Ad Boost

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - President Trump is getting a public relations boost.

A pro-Trump group called "Making America Great" is spending a million dollars on TV ads in 11 states, including Florida, and another $300,000 on internet ads promoting Trump's achievements in the early days of his presidency.

In the wake of Trump's failure to pass a repeal of Obamacare, and his historically low poll numbers, the video highlights some of his executive orders which did not require legislative approval.

The theme is called "It's Just Begun," and it lists the rollback of EPA regulations, approving the Keystone XL pipeline, and withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal as accomplishments.

The advertisements are running in states where a democratic senator is up for election.
