Sanford, Fla. (970 WFLA)- One dead, five wounded, in two shootings blamed on the same gunman in Sanford, Florida.
Police describe a horrific scene at a home. Sanford Police Spokesperson Bianca Gillett says the attacker shot four people in that house that he knew, then went out and shot two people at random.
Gillet says he seemingly opened fire on two innocent by-standers that were walking down the roadway, a female victim and a male victim.
Two of the five victims are children, 7 and 8 years old, they were inside that house. They are listed in extremely critical condition.
A police officer spotted the suspect, he briefly tried to run but is in custody.
