Largo, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A man dies after getting into a fight with police and security guards at a Largo hospital.
Police say the patient, 27 year old, Mundrae Francis, went out of control and started attacking staff, in the emergency room at Largo Medical Center on Indian Rocks Road.
Largo Police Lieutenant Joe Coyle says, one of their officers got punched in the face. That officer is in the hospital. Another security officer along with several staff members from the medical center were treated for minor injuries.
After Francis was restrained he went into cardiac arrest, and died.
In 2013 Francis was accused of battery on a law enforcement officer and possesion of crack cocaine, in 2012 he faced domestic violence charges.
