Tampa Police Detectives Look for Suspect Using Stolen Debit Card

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-On March 11, an unknown suspect broke into the residence in the 1700 block of  Idell Street East in Tampa and took the victim's debit and social security cards.

On the same date, someone was able to change the PIN associated with the debit card and withdraw $1,000 in cash from the ATM at WaWa at 804 Bearss Avenue East.    Later that day an unknown suspect purchased a $600 gift card and obtained $100 in cash from Walmart at 2701 Fletcher Avenue East.

An unknown black male was captured on store surveillance video making the withdrawal at the WaWa.  The black male was wearing a black t-shirt, long tan short and black sneakers.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown  suspect(s) involved in these cases.  Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect(s) and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
