Pinellas Approves 8 a.m. Sunday Liquor Sales

CLEARWATER, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Sunday morning drinkers in Pinellas County can get started three hours earlier.

The County Commission voted unanimously to approve changing the liquor buying time for stores and serving time for restaurants to 8 a.m. from 11 a.m.  The new schedule matches liquor sales hours for the other days of the week.

Those who enjoy Bloody Marys and mimosas at Sunday brunch will be pleased.  But those who oppose the earlier time for religious or safety reasons are disappointed by the decision, even though there was no objection from law enforcement.
