Tampa Police Seek Assistance In Murder Case

Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Tampa Police Homicide Detectives are asking the public to share any information they may have that will lead to the arrest of the person who robbed and murdered Dontae Lampkins in January. 

Video shows Dontae as he boarded and exited a HART bus on January 24, 2017.    This is the last known footage of him alive. 

On January 26, 2017, the body of Dontae Lampkins was found in an alley in Seminole Heights after he was robbed and murdered.   This was not a random incident.   

Detectives believe that Dontae may have come in contact with the suspect using a social media dating app. 

Tampa Police Detectives are now asking anyone who may have information to contact Crimestoppers.  The information provided remains anonymous and could help bring a killer to justice.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000  for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the  suspect in this case.  

Anyone with any information regarding this case and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
