Sarasota County, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A multiple vehicle crash invoving a car-hauling semi killed three people and sent two others to the hospital on I-75 in Sarasota County early Sunday. Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. southbound on the Interstate at mile marker 177, south of the Toledo Blade Blvd. exit. Troopers closed the road for several hours as they worked the scene. Northbound lanes remained open. FHP had not released the names of the injured or dead by early Sunday afternoon.
