Gas Prices Hold Steady, But Not For Long

Gas prices held steady in the Bay area over the past week at an average of $2.21  gallon.  But with demand rising and the annual switch to more expensive summer blends, pump prices will start rising.   Petroleum analysts expect a seasonal spike of 20 to 40 cents a gallon by Memorial Day.   Over the summer,  gas prices are expected to stay below $3.00 a gallon.
