(St. Petersburg, Fla. - 970 WFLA) St. Petersburg Police School Resource Officers arrested 18 year old Daquan Maybell on the Lakewood High School campus, 1400 54th Avenue South.
They say Maybell concealed a 28-inch machete inside a trombone case in the band room. It was discovered when another student opened the case to use the instrument.
Maybell claimed he brought the machete to school because he was going to do yard work immediately after school.
