DCF Employee Arrested For Selling Drugs

Mulberry,Fla (970 WFLA) - A former Department of Children and Families employee  is out of a job for allegedly selling heroin and cocaine out of her home.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested Laymeisha Hicks, who turned herself in for the alleged sales that took place out of her Starlight Point Drive home.  

Hicks had worked for DCF since 2015, and was fired Feb. 20th. 

She's booked in the Polk County Jail on charges that include trafficking in heroin, trafficking in cocaine and keeping  a drug den,the formal charge is maintaining a structure for drug use and  possession of paraphernalia.
