Largo, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has fired a detention and corrections corporal after arresting her on a DUI charge. It says that it caught Jo Anna Barker, 35, driving 67 mph in a 35 mph zone in Redington Shores at about 2 a.m. Monday. During the traffic stop, deputies say that Barker had a blood alcohol level of .214, which is more than twice the legal limit of .08.
Barker was arrested and charged with one count of driving under the influence. She worked as a detention corporal, but the Sheriff's Office fired her following the arrest.
