Frostproof, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The Florida Highway Patrol has identified 66 year-old Leilani Dickhaus as the woman killed after the car she was riding in was hit by a pickup truck On Scenic Highway 17, near Old Fort Meade Road.
Troopers say the victim's daughter, 43 year-old Angela Dickhaus, was driving when the car was hit on the passenger side. Angela is in stable condition.
Investigators say nineteen year-old Tristan Benning of Lakeland, ran through a stop sign and hit the car. Neither Benning nor his passenger were injured in the crash.
Charges could be filed in the crash as the F.H.P. continues the investigation.
