Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The annual Florida State Fair is open for business. With the slogan "Discover The Fun," the fair runs through the 20th.
There are rides, games, livestock exhibits, animals, pig races, music, vendors and just about everything to keep you entertained for a day. You can even go back in time by visiting Cracker Country. It's like a town from old Florida.
The real star is the food. This year features some unique eats. There is the White Cheddar and Bacon Pretzel Dog, the Cheesy Fried Enchilada Funnel Cake, the Steak Sundae and the Florida Firecracker Burger.
Florida State Fair Executive Director Cheryl Flood says that the food has become an "iconic" part of the fair experience.
