Largo, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-A Pinellas County man who escaped to his hometown in Mexico after a five year-old girl accused him of sexual battery is in behind bars here.
Deputies say 42 year-old Domingo Maye surrendered to the FBI and was extradited back to the U.S. Pinellas deputies found out that Maye had fled to Mexico and then worked with the FBI to get him to surrender.
The investigation into Maye started after the girl told her mom about the sexual activity with the man. Maye also admitted to the allegations during questioning.
Maye is officially charged with two counts of sexual battery on a child under 12. Detectives say more charges could be coming against Maye as the investigation if continuing.
