ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Two motorcycle crashes within hours of each other in Pinellas County leave a couple dead and a third person seriously injured.

A 25-year old biker and his female passenger collided with a car at the intersection of 137th Street and Walsingham Road in Largo around 7 p.m. Tuesday night, according to police.

Officers said the driver violated the right of way and both were ejected from the bike.  The 19-year old female passenger died at the scene, while the male driver was taken to Bayfront where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A separate motorcycle crash happened on the off-ramp of I-275 South and 4th St. North.

Police said he tried to put on the brakes, but his motorcycle slammed into the car.
